Dan Barnett dropped off his 1947 MSS 500 last fall, for a bit of service work. Took a bit of time this morning to look it over. This is a bike we did the original 'full rebuild' on years ago, and it has a few 'shed made' parts. The rear stand, handlebar risers, steering damper knob, mudguard stays, even the little rubber wiring rubber ties ( I cut from old inner tubes! ) full engine and gearbox rebuild, fork rebuild, the usual. Of interest might be the little external -in line- oil check valve I like to use.
